Pretty Pinks

Perhaps the prettiest colour of them all, pink is the perfect colour for a girly, glamorous handbag. Being so feminine, it’s no wonder that our pink products are always bestsellers with our fabulous customers. With a total of seven pinks to choose from, the range can be overwhelming, so we’ve curated a guide to every pink in our collection. From how the shade looks, to complementary colours, and even which shades will look best with your skin tone (according to House of Colour theory), we’ve covered everything you could possibly need to know to keep you looking pretty in pink!
Think of something pink. More than likely, you thought of something uniquely feminine, perhaps a Barbie doll, a flower, or an orchid Dahlia! These days pink is so deeply intertwined with womanhood, that is considered quite the fashion statement for men to be seen in the hue. However, it hasn’t always been so black and white (or pink and blue) when it comes to colour and gender. Pink was once considered a pale red, which carried connotations of power, aggression and passion and it was reserved only for the most affluent of young boys right up until around 200 years ago- how quickly times change!
Did you know that surrounding yourself with pinks can have a calming effect? That’s why it’s a popular colour for high stress environments like hospitals and prisons. It’s known to evoke strong emotional responses of romance, peace and joy! It’s no wonder we decided to paint our own Joy HQ pink!
Now that we know all about this gorgeous colour, let’s take a look at the shades in our range!
